Imagine, one minute your friend is behind you on a fun afternoon hike, enjoying the beautiful wilderness. Reach a sharp bend in the path, sharp enough they are out of your vision for a moment, you wait for them.... and they never come around the bend. You backtrack. But they never return. What happens when people vanish inexplicably in our nation's forests?
David Paulides, a former police officer turned author, has compiled years worth of strange causes in national and state parks across the United States in which people have disappeared until odd, but often similar circumstances. Some return, some do not. The phenomena has been called Missing 411. Lets delve into these strange cases and the theories that have been put forth as an explanation.
